frequently asked questions

Can I speak to someone who knows answers to my questions?

For sure! Knowledge is power. We know a lot about what we do. Please don't hesitate to call if you have questions as you consider your purchase. During our office hours (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm EST) please call (336) 222-6622 x 101. You may also reach us by email at info@skramfurniture.com.

Where is skram furniture made?

Skram is based in Burlington, North Carolina. Our products are created in their entirety in North Carolina. Our core raw material–premium Appalachian hardwood timber–is sourced from within a 400 miles radius of our headquarters.

Can I return something I buy if I don't like it?

If the product you purchase is marked as 'new condition', it is subject to the same lifetime warranty terms as all new Skram products. Our warranty is testament to our commitment to heirloom quality. Please view this link to review our residential lifetime warranty.

Item's marked 'old' or 'display' are listed for final sale. Sales of these products are final. They are priced accordingly and not subject to the standard lifetime warranty.

How do I receive my order if it ships freight?

Larger items are only suitable for freight shipping. In these cases, after you process your purchase online, skram will coordinate a standard shipment to the address input during checkout. If you would like for the freight shipment to be delivered to your residence, please see the “white glove” FAQ.

Do I need to specify a white glove delivery?

If you purchase a larger item that requires freight shipping, standard delivery will be 'curbside'. This mean that the item will be palletized and on a large truck. It will need to be unloaded, uncrated, safely placed in the home or business, and the crating and pallet dismantled and disposed of. If this is not desirable, our team will assist you to coordinate a “white glove” delivery. This means a smaller delivery truck will bring your order to your residence and the delivery team will unload it, place it in a room of your choice, and will remove all debris. White glove services will incur a separate fee and our logistics team will contact you within 24 hours of purchase to help coordinate this aspect.

I'm interested in something sold 'as-is'. Does that mean there's something wrong with it?

Not at all. Some items in Skram's quickship program are designated as 'old model' or 'display model'. Items with this identifier have been 'out in the world' and may have signs of this. As such, they are priced accordingly, taking into account any traces of previous life, or for old models, time spent on a shelf in our warehouse. Each is an opportunity to own something crafted with love and intended for a lifetime of use. Even these items have been been thoroughly inspected and refreshed by our final assembly team. Sales of these items, however, are final and not subject to the same lifetime warranty terms as our 'new condition' items.
